Hello everyone. I can't believe it's March. Where did February go? We even had an extra day. I am wondering...what happens if you are born on Leap year? I guess you have two birthdates for a while that you celebrate on.
Well, life is good over here in NJ. Working hard on getting the next issue of Yoga Bean Magazine out to everyone. So I will go back to work now and talk to you all later.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all! It's almost 2008, I can't believe it. 'Tis the season when all the news shows look back at a 'year in pictures' or 'year in events' or whatever. It forces you to look back at the year you had and evaluate it using some sort of social rubric that should never be a tool for measuring your achievements or failures. Something like money or fame or success. The tool should be happiness. Are you moving towards happiness and the knowledge of who you are and loving that person. I know that sounds hokey but in the big picture it is all you have. If you cant love yourself first you cant truly love anyone else. It is the hardest thing to do, and yet, it should be the easiest. What about being a good person. I think if you love yourself and care for yourself by not destroying your body and treating it well, mentally and physically, you will spread goodness and happiness wherever you go. Get in front of the mirror. Look at who you really are. We are not perfect. We make mistakes all the time, sometimes over and over again. That's okay. As long as you eventually learn and you can stand in that mirror and love the reflection, character, and soul of the person staring back at you, it will all be good.
Happy New Year!

Here we are again on September 11th. I think America goes on with there business now and gets a reminder of the horrible day from the newspaper or online. I remember watching the second plane hit the tower in NYC and remembering that I was thinking, "what the heck was that?" I was teaching an art class at a senior center in South Philly and when I came in and told them that morning, they wouldn't believe me. They turned on the TV to get the info. What a day! It is too bad that we are in a bigger mess now though, because of that frightening day. I hope for peace in the world and do my part by sending good energy out there and helping, in my way with Yoga Bean Magazine, to make the world a better place to live in. What are you doing to make the world a better place to live in?
Its that time of year again when everyone is so busy traveling and enjoying the beautiful summer weather. I know, I will be taking a road trip soon and I am very excited about it. Just remember that when you are off on your getaways, take some time to enjoy restaurants and cafes that promote local farmers or serve organic or free-range foods. Have a great summer! Talk to you soon.
